Gibraltar

5NOV2004 It looks just like the picture.  The familiar shape of Gibraltar was somewhat surreal.  I motored across the causeway and onto the rock.  I wound my way to Point Europa and stared across the straits at Africa (only 15 miles away).  I tried to ride to the top of the rock but they wanted almost $10 to pass the gate.  So, I just waved at the apes and took my leave.

It only took a few minutes to get onto Gibraltar but it took me almost a half hour tied up in traffic to get back to Spain.  I was lucky to have a motorcycle because some of the cars waited two or more hours to get back across.
