Well, it's just another clean, picturesque Scandinavian city. Old buildings, concerts, and expensive food. I enjoyed my visit to Christiana Freetown, a counter culture enclave in the city. I stayed for three nights at the City Hostel. It was fairly nice with a good place to meet people or to lounge and read. I headed on to Skagen, a scenic town near the beach at the northern tip of Denmark. The weather was good enough to pitch my tent. I explored the town and walked the beach. I headed to Esbjerg to catch my flight to London. The hostel was very nice and located very near a big swim center. I swam and lolled in the jacuzzi. After the time with friends in Helsinki and Stockholm, Denmark proved somewhat dull. But I did get lots of reading done and left for London relaxed and looking forward to getting my hands on a motorcycle. |
